Viral Prevention IS Protection.

How do we fortify our immune system?

We empower & educate ourselves with methods of prevention & natural defenses.

Here is my top 10 recommendations for fortifying the immune system:

1.) Boost your immune function with Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT). LDT assists the body in many ways by moving the lymph fluid out of stagnation that can cause pain, inflammation, disease & congestion. Think of the lymph system as the sewage system of your body that is removing toxins & pathogens, etc. out of the body. Imagine what happens when that toxic, thick fluid sits in our tissues & organs?😝 We want the lymph to flow like a clear, pristine river. So, drink plenty of purified water & consider booking an LDT session!

2.) Include supplements regularly that support Immune function and are anti-viral in nature, such as: Vitamin C, Zinc, L-lysine, Vitamin D3, high quality probiotics, raw local honey or Manuka honey, Lemonbalm, Fresh Ginger, Oregano, Cat’s Claw, Chinese Skullcap, Licorice Root, Elderberry, Olive Leaf, Colloidal Silver and Adaptogenic herbs, to name a few.

3.) Avoiding foods that viruses love to eat (at least when you feel cold or flu type symptoms beginning) like: processed sugar, gluten, dairy, eggs, corn, soy & alcohol to name a few.

4.) Clean Eating. Plant-based is Powerful. Fill your day with tons of ORGANIC (viruses love pesticides) fruits & veggies. Fresh, cold-pressed juices are a wonderful way for the body to easily absorb enzymes & nutrients, while giving your body a break from heavy digesting. If eating meats; try to choose cleaner alternatives like: wild-caught fish, grass fed beef or organic chicken (avoid Pork).

5.) Detox Baths: Spend 15- 20 minutes in a warm bath with 2 cups epsom salt, 1 cup baking soda and as an option, 10 drops of your favorite essential oils. Do this at least once per week if not more. Enjoy!

6.) Reduce Stress. Did you know that fear, stress, anxiety & depression lead to high levels of inflammation in our body- which leads to a weakened immune system?
The mainstream media is well known for causing widespread fear & hopelessness, but we can combat those vulnerable feelings easily by using discernment on what is being fed to us by media outlets and educating ourselves on alternatives, facts & truth on a multitude of subjects- not just health.

7.) Meditation. If sitting in lotus position and chanting mantras isn’t your cup of tea- its ok! Even 10 minutes of focused breathing or listening to a guided meditation app before going to sleep or before getting out of bed, can make a difference in reducing our overall stress levels.

8.) Stretching. Just 10 minutes each morning of some basic stretches can improve your lymph system, circulation, digestion, posture and overall well-being. I recommend learning some basic yoga stretches to start and even end your day.

9.) Avoid chemicals. Use Natural, non-toxic products. Replace household cleaners, dish detergents, laundry soaps, dryer sheets, body products like: make-up, body lotions, body washes, hair products, perfumes and air fresheners, etc. Be mindful of exposing your body to toxic overload. These chemicals can not only overload your liver, they can contain endocrine disruptors that can cause hormone imbalances, infertility, auto-immune type issues, cause cancers, kill the good gut bacteria and weaken the immune system. We are exposed to enough toxins in our environment that we cannot control, so be sure to reduce the toxins in your home.

10.) Do the Obvious. Maintain good hygiene. Wash your hands with soap & water throughout the day. Cover your coughs & sneezes with a tissue, a handkerchief or at least aim into your sleeve - not your hands! Avoid sharing glasses, utensils, straws or anything else that comes into contact with your bodily fluids... If you cannot get to a hand sink, consider using natural hand sanitizers versus an anti-bacterial (anti-bacterial sanitizers also kill the good gut flora that protects us from viruses).
